The patient was not currently a cannabis consumer and he was before, but only sporadically. He wasn't a regular drinker either. The first cerebral infarction was produced on mixing in a party different drinks with a considerable amount of cannabis. The scanner test done to him showed an hemorrhage and rests of a previous coagulum. [...] A year after this event the patient smoked cannabis again and lost speech ability and sensibility in a part of his body for a second time. The scanner detected an hemorrhage and rests of a coagulum, but this time, in other areas of the brain.

That's terrible. Another reason added to the many for me that I'll never try any drugs or alcohol.

1. If you mix drinks and drugs, you're asking for trouble. Everyone knows that.

2. Looks to me like this only happened to one careless person. You can't generalise that to the whole world of people.

3. There's no such thing as proof in science. Only evidence, and this is pretty poor evidence at that.

1. If you do drugs, you're asking for trouble.

2. This was this doctor's patient, similar cases have been recorded by the Spanish health services but no direct link existed between drugs and drugs alone and cerebral infarction.

3. What has been worked on was the process and chemical conditions why these two drugs together produce the effect I quoted, not just this case. And there is such thing as proof in science. In medicine you can't ultimately prove everything, but you can study risk factors and demonstrate they are.

Every year a number of young people (as in 15-30) kick the bucket for strange illness that shouldn't be happening at these ages, like cancer, or cerebral problems. I believe this happens in other countries too. It's just about finding the causes for this, or the factors that make these more probable.
